THIS BIODEGRADABLE KIN CARRY-ON LUGGAGE PROMOTES SUSTAINABLE TRAVEL

The KIN Carry-on suitcase was designed by award-winning Boris Berlin for Projectkin, with sustainability in mind. The carry-on is an exclusive luggage carrier that is portable and environmentally friendly in many ways, making it attractive to travelers who are practicing sustainable travel—this biodegradable carry-on was designed to suit the needs of modern men and women who love to travel in style and responsibly.

The carry-on is from natural materials. The shell contains the flax plant and biodegradable plastic. Other parts of the biodegradable  KIN Carry-on have vegetable-tanned leather, 100 % flax linen. These materials are good for the environment and leave a natural texture on the appearance of the suitcase. These raw materials are extracted from plants that were carefully planted, grown, and processed under conditions that preserve the environment.

Flax, the plant used for the shell and linen, has numerous advantages such as its ability to use less water than cotton per kilogram of fiber to grow; it requires fewer pesticides and herbicides for growth and can be grown for more than a decade without depletion of the soil. Furthermore, Flax is biodegradable, and its fibers are considered the world’s strongest.

The manufacturer of the biodegradable KIN Carry-on holds that the product is established to be sustainable, long-lasting, and retain high quality.  During production, they pay special attention to water consumption, recycling, Carbon Dioxide footprint, biodegradability, use of chemicals, and land use.

Water consumption: The selected crops are carefully picked due to their reasonable use of water, thereby contributing positively to nature.

Recycling: Recycling of used products is essential in ensuring sustainability and enhancement of nature. Therefore, the manufacturer prioritizes in reusing and recycling materials in developing their products.

Carbon dioxide emissions: One of the causes of global warming is human-driven carbon dioxide emissions. The suitcase, and the rest of the products by Projectkin company, are manufactured by using materials that promote lower carbon dioxide footprint.

Biodegradable materials: This refers to the material’s capability to be decomposed by bacteria or other living organisms. Since the products are made to last long, they contain the ability to be recycled and degraded if they happen to be dumped in nature.

Deforestation: As farming increases, forest areas keep decreasing across the world leaving less available land for agriculture and other significant activities. The crops used for raw materials in the production line of the biodegradable carry-on do not use excess land, therefore discouraging deforestation in the process.

We believe this biodegradable KIN Carry-on delivers solutions to the conscious traveler. It is nature’s good companion, and it ensures high quality.
